We'd hate to admit it but, ESP is over our heads with dogs and no fosters. We recently lost some fosters due to them adopting their dogs :), which is great but now we have many dogs without fosters.
Please, please, please, consider fostering. The rescue provides everything for fosters, you just provide a loving home until the animal is adopted.
You can reach us at:

Meet Stanley, a sweet Shih Tzu that was taken by animal control. We actually posted the nicest looking picture of him before his groom! From what shelter staff told us, Stanley was abandoned in a small crate. When he came to the shelter, he as covered in urine and feces from not being able to use the restroom outside. His hair was severely matted, acting as a sponge when he urinated and soaked up his urine against his skin. After seeing him at the shelter we knew we had to take him right away and get this little boy some help. The picture of him below is actually nicest looking of him. His groomer actually had to use a blade normally used for sanitary areas (very short) to shave his legs and tail.
After getting his haircut and a well needed bath Stanley is happy as can be! He still has minor stains from urine and his skin is just now looking not so irritated. He loves to play and has everyone laughing at the fact that he can somehow squeeze a normal sized tennis ball in that small mouth of his. Stanley really loves everyone he meets and is a prime example of why people love his breed so much. He has a personality bigger than his body and wants nothing more than to play and snuggle with a pet parent that is ready to show him what life is all about.
Want to see him after his haircut or a close up of his matts? Look up Empty Shelter Project on facebook!

We have very special news! Mya is being adopted on Friday! Mya has been with our rescue the longest of any animal we've had, about a year and a half. She was on her way to go to the shelter where she would have been put to sleep because she was pregnant when we first got her. We took her in because she was so sweet and all of her kittens (Jax, Panther, Trixie, and Courage) were adopted. Mya was often passed by because she is a plain black adult cat. She has one of the most wonderful personalities of any of the kitties we've taken in and it makes our hearts swell knowing her new family recognizes what a great catch she is! It was actually this picture that got her adopted. Her new rescue mom took it off of a bulletin board one of our volunteers made and couldn't stop thinking about Mya's pretty face.
